The new SCAT Excalibur Lightweight Crankshaft, weighing in at just under 50 pounds, was recently featured on EngineLabs.
Lightweight rotating assemblies are the key to a high-revving small block and allow vehicles to reach their ideal power band quicker.

Forged from 4340 steel, the cranks are precision-ground, heat-treated, and nitride-hardened for super wear resistance. They’re rough-balanced to 1,800 grams (within +/- 2 percent), and feature large journal radiuses. Their innovative oiling holes increase the amount of oil going from the mains to rod bearings, and eliminate burnt bearings.
This is available in multiple configurations:
- 3.480″ stroke, 5.700″ rod, 350 mains, internal balance
- 3.480″ stroke, 5.700″ rod, 350 mains, front internal/rear external balance
- 3.750″ stroke, 5.700″ rod, 350 mains, internal balance
